Founded in 2023 by Ovie Lawrenchuk and Samuel Cadelina, Sól began as a food truck serving vibrant Asian-fusion rice bowls. Today, we’ve expanded to offer dine-in, takeout, and catering services.
Our menu is thoughtfully crafted to be entirely gluten, nut, and dairy-free. We also offer vegetarian and vegan options, ensuring that everyone can find something they’ll love.

Ovie Lawrenchuk, owner and co-founder of Sól, brings 15 years of experience in the culinary scene. His past projects include the Hub Café in Comox, co-created with entrepreneur Ben-Zion Eni, as well as the occasional Winnipeg-based pop-up, Passenger Seat.

Samuel Cadelina, executive chef, creative director, and co-founder of Sól, brings two decades of culinary expertise to the table. His deep knowledge of Asian cuisine, combined with classical techniques, has shaped the creative offerings of the Sól menu.
